This small pier now falling into disrepair has a long standing history and has given hours of pleasure to children fishing for wrasse from its pylons, and tourists. Unfortunately the local council seem to have neglected it. This pier hold dear many memories of the sixties sun, fun, boat trips, girls, ice cream, fishing.
It would be nice to see the formation of an organisation formed to save this small icon of Portsmouth’s History from becoming a distant memory.

Night fishing in this area can be very productive the bass lurk in the shallows cruising the shore for a morsel to eat from this point to Clarence pier.
Best bait whole squid for the biggest, raised from the sea bed by being stuffed with plastic floating foam and very large hooks. For the more abundant 2 to three pounder’s a strip of squid.
